Clarke has a testing time at Pembrey
19th June 2010
The Dunlop Sport Maxx Cup moved across to Wales for the next round of the Dunlop Sport Maxx Cup to Pembrey.
This weekend saw Stuart having not the weekend he hoped for, in qualifying Stuart could only manage seventh due to the ABS on the car failing during the session and not having time to fix it.
Race one saw Stuart driving through the pack getting him up to third by the time flag dropped in soaring temperatures which was very testing for the turbo powered cars which resulted in Stuart’s Astra needing a turbo changed due to the heat. Race two saw ABS problems coming back again dropping him back to sixth by the time flag dropped. Race three Stuart got the car back up to third having fixed the ABS problem.
“This weekend was a very trying for me and the team with the little problems we had, I’m glad we got at least two podiums and keep the points going moving us up to third in the table. The team have worked hard driving back to the workshop on Saturday night for a new turbo and then preparing the car throughout the weekend changing dampers due to a failure has meant being hard work for them. They have done a good job, thanks to Macca for his hard work and all the other guys and a huge thank you to my sponsors Bodywork Direct, Car Go Direct”.
