Track2Test Client Wins!

Track2Test.com client Jason Richardson finally got his first race win in the MINI Challenge at Donington this weekend! Stuart Clarke from Track2Test has looked after Jason since he started competition driving mentoring him from a fresh noivce finally through to being a race winner!

Jason tested on Friday and felt he had the car under him for a good weekend setting fast times thanks also to Team DART for preparation on the car. Come raceday Jason flew putting the car on the front row. Once race one was under way Jason got himself into the lead to secure his first race win in the MINI Challenge since starting in August 2008. Jason has previous wins in the Fiesta Championship last year. Race two got off with Jason on Pole and having a bad start went down to fifth on the first lap. Then he clawed his back to the front and drove consistantly into the lead setting fastest lap after fastest lap to gain his second race win of the day and a new lap record for the JCW R56 Class.

Track2Test sends their congratulations to him and wishes him well for the 2011 season where he will surely be one to watch and also a favourite for the title given his performance this weekend. 

Jason comments - "What a weekend I've had! This year has been very up and down for me for one reason and another. I have to thank my team Lee, Bill (mulitple MINI MIiglia champion) and Steve for their efforts all year, that's my payback to them for all their hard work. Stuart has helped me thoughout the year with my driving so thank you to him plus I have Bill Solis in my team who has a lot of success in racing with MINI's, the proper ones, which has also been an enromous help to me. This is a great way to finish the year heading into the off season and carry this performance into next year."
